The goal of the deal is to ensure at least 55% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (compared to 1990 emission levels), 3 billion additional trees to be planted in the EU by 2030, and be the first climate-neutral continent with no net emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050.
